My husband, our friends and myself sailed aboard the Norwegian Star in Jan. 11.
The ship was mostly great, but it is aging and need some repairs. The chairs in the Stardust theatre were very uncomfortable and some of them even broken. The Atrium is beautiful as well as all the restaurants and bars. There were a lot of seniors on the cruise, with some of them being very crabby, especially towards the end of the cruise.
The itinerary was fabulous. All the staff were fabulous as well and the entertainment was great. The cruise director was the greatest. There was a lot of fun filled activities to keep us amused during our sea days as well as all evenings.
Disembarkation was terrible. There were huge line up all over the ship and crabby people. It took us quite a long time to get off the ship. Not sure if it was the cruise lines fault or the Los Angeles port authorities and the customs authorities. It was also a bit confusing when off the ship on where to go to More catch our shuttle. (not a cruise line shuttle) Less

Cabin review: Norwegian Star 5591
We stayed in a inside cabin which would of been great except for the noise. Our cabin was on the 5Th deck, cabin number 5591. The room stewards facilities were right beside our room and behind it. At 6 am every morning you could here them banging in there and water running all the time. It was noisier then any hotel room I have ever stayed in. Our ceiling had a leek one day, we called about it and it was fixed immediately and they delivered a bottle of wine to our room for our trouble (which really was no trouble). These things happen.
