What a great vacation! We had a delay for embarkation due to a bomb threat and had to hang around the parking lot for 2 hours. Coast guard checked the ship twice and we were able to begin boarding around 1:30. Canaveral porters stood around watching people struggle with their luggage from the parking lot to the bins as we could not drive up and drop off as usual. No tips was the rule of the day. Coming back there was a sign inside that porters are salaried and tipping not necessary! Save your money!! We collected and carried off our own.

The ship is beautiful and very clean. Our stateroom was very nice and lots of storage space and more hangers than needed. The little coffee pot was a real plus in my book and should be standard on all lines. We were on deck 10 under the Garden cafe and had no noise problems. The food was better in the buffet than the dining room though all was good. We only went to one of the cover charge restaurants, the Il Adagio and it was very nice with great service and delicious food. Drinks were higher than other cruises, I thought, but nothing watered down. Hot tubs were great and the pool area very nice. One man came early and threw down a couple of towels onto two lounge chairs then disappeared for almost two hours while others were looking for a space. I set my bag on "his" chair and he had a typical *sshole fit when he finally showed up, but most fellow passengers were very nice and polite. Hardly any children and those well behaved.

Our shore excursions in Belize and Guatemala were fantastic. We went to some Mayan ruins and the jade museum and a banana plantation. We got a one hour ride each way and saw lots of the countryside. No begging children anywhere.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Cabin 0245, Enrico was pleasant and accommodating. Lots of closet space and hangers. Wonderful view from the balcony and a quiet location. The coffee pot made a big difference and should be in every state room on every line. Bed linens were comfortable and we slept well. There should be a second nightstand which we missed and a slight larger table in front of the sofa.

The balcony chairs were good but one that would lie back like a lounge chair would also be a real plus. TV was good with a great variety of movies and TV shows. A weather channel would have been nice. Adequate room, clean and well appointed. Very satisfied with this cabin.
