What a wonderful cruise. January 29-February 7, 2012. Boarding in Baltimore is such a breeze ~ got to the port around noon, paid for parking, and we were on the ship by 12:45. Headed to Windjammer for lunch as rooms wouldn't be ready until 1:30. Very crowded, but to be expected the day of departure ~ shared a table with a very nice couple. Have one complaint though, saw many sitting at tables in Windjammer playing cards while others wanted lunch and were looking for tables ~ I thought this was very rude of the card players, there are other places INSIDE on the ship open where you can play cards and open up the tables for people coming on wanting to have a little lunch. Not one of the staff in Windjammer even asked them to move either :( After the first afternoon we never had a problem finding a seat in Windjammer regardless of what time we went. This was a sold out cruise with a mixture of older people, younger people and children ~ and not once did I feel crowded in the Windjammer.

A few days before leaving RC upgraded our room, which was a nice surprised but turned out to be a pain at times. Room wasn't ready at 1:30, when we walked in (as the door was wide open) the room steward came immediately and told us we had the wrong room, that this room was not ready as it was to be empty for the cruise ~ no, sorry this is our room. She quickly made the room up while we sat on the balcony. Again, after having a spa treatment they could not find me to bill me (NO PROBLEM for me), they had to go by our original room to find me. I had to go to guest relations desk about 5 times before this issue was resolved.

We didn't use the dining room except for the first night ~ after that the smell of perfume was soooo strong in the dining room it made me sick and I could not stay there. Not a problem, Windjammer was open nightly although I must say their selection of food is poor, it's the same thing night after night after night ~ but we managed, and sure didn't loss any weight on this cruise.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite with Balcony

Small Junior Suite, no walk in closet, no room under bed for luggage

Good location though
