Living in Central Florida allows me to book cruises from any of the ports in Florida at the last minute. This was one such cruise. I saw the low price and nice itinerary so decided to try Celebrity. I left home at 7AM and arrived at the Port of Miami at 11AM. Trying to figure out where to enter the terminal for the cruise was one of the only glitches encountered the entire cruise. I finally parked in Garage G, requested directions to the Century from a Port Security Officer and was directed to what turned out to be the entrance for a different ship. Walking to the correct terminal was tiresome, but embarkation was a breeze as was the debark process. Once on the ship I dropped off my carry-on in the room and headed to the buffet. The lunch was very good, many choices, and everything was delicious. A nice touch is being served at the buffet. Another enhancement was having refrigerated dishes for cold menu items and heated dishes for hot food. My luggage arrived after lunch.

The ship is beautiful. The decorations are simple and tasteful, lots of dark wood, glass and fresh flowers. Where background music is piped in it is soft and relaxing. The ship is immaculate and while it is evident she is an older vessel, she is well maintained. Getting around the ship is very easy. There are many lounges scattered throughout the ship, always a nice place to sit and enjoy the view or chat with new friends.

The activities I saw were pool games, trivia and informal dance classes. We had such beautiful weather, most were reluctant to leave their lounges, but those who did participate seemed to thoroughly enjoy the activities.

Cabin Review

Cabin was equipped with two drop down bunks besides two twins/queen. Tons of closet space, suitcases fit under bed, extra chair and small table. Cabin convenient to lifts, quiet.
