For a low-cost last-minute cruise, the ship and itinerary were good but not excellent. A bit lacklustre and worn out with only adequate service, but again, good value for a modest low-budget vacation. We did Celebrity last January and Royal Caribbean the year before and various Princess, Costa and Carnival ships before, so we are experienced cruisers. We're also low-maintenance non-complainers so rather than commenting on food, embarkation, suites and ports of call, let me tell you just the highs and lows. It's a lovely ship but unfortunately stinks from smokers.
The food was always decent banquet level fare while service was a bit so-so, but the ship didn't have any mechanical problems or delays and the weather was spectacularly bright and sunny.
If you're a fussy eater, picky princess or drama queen then I suggest you cruise with one of the upscale lines or go on one of the new mega cruise ships. I chose Caribbean Princess because for my money San Juan is a better departure port for mid-winter cruises than any of the Florida ports.
Comfortable but slightly worn with a slight smell of sewage in the hallways and the smell of smoke everywhere on the ship. The ship is lovely but showing signs of age!
