Ship was very nice, a result of a recent refurbishing and 'Solsticizing' of it. Service was outstanding: Marius and Evica in the dining room, Doris as room steward, Mustafa and Ante in the Tuscan Grille, and Johnny in the Bistro on 5. None of them could have been more attentive.
Arrived the day before and staying at Fairfield Inn in FLL.
Embarkation on Saturday was smooth, quick and flawless. Luggage arrived relatively quick and in time to change for dinner.
Food ranged from excellent/outstanding (usually) to just OK (once or twice), but when I got something I did not care for, Marius INSISTED that I order something else--and then it magically appeared almost instantly.
The night life is a bit sleepy, as the average age of the guests is probably late 60's.
Perry Grant in Michael's Club is a hoot--a must see at least once! "Full Tilt", an acapella quartet made their debut on this voyage--they are fantastic and played 3 or 4 times to SRO crowds in Reflections Lounge. Unfortunately, they were allocated only 30 minutes per performance, but I will wager that will increase on future sailings as the demand by pax is certainly there.
My balcony stateroom was of normal size, but had tons of storage space and did not seem crowded at all. Bedding was new and firm and clean. Bathrooms were adequate.
Public space (theater, restaurants, bars, music venues, etc.) were very nice and usually sedate.
Debarkation was organized and easy. My 'group' was called right on schedule, and we made it downstairs, off the ship, collected all luggage, and got through customs in less than about 40 minutes.
