Have cruised in the past with Carnival Cruise Line (once in the Mediterranean & once in the eastern Caribbean). Thought we would try another cruise line although fully knowing that Princess is owned by the Carnival Group.

Embarkation: Went smoothly as we arrived after 4pm which is ideal b/c lineups are non existent although you will have to wait longer for your luggage to arrive - ours finally arrive at approx 11pm which did bother us b/c we had been up since 3am and all we wanted to do was shower and go to bed. As stated in other reviews, Princess does allow you to bring on board one of wine or champagne/person. We purchased liquor (rum & vodka) at our duty free in Toronto and transferred it into our luggage at San Juan airport. Wasn't too worried about it b/c I'm sure the Princess personnel scanning the luggage are more concerned about weapons, drugs etc rather than two bottles of liquor.

Dining: We chose the late seating dining in the Palm Dining room and enjoyed every night. We had great people at our table and our waiter (Carlito) and waitress were very attentive. Excellent service.
