Ship Facts: Monarch of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Monarch of the Seas Deck Plans
Short but sweet
This is our 3rd cruise & all with Royal Caribbean. This was our shortest cruise at only 4 nights, but it was also the cheapest at $330 each.

We got to port at 12:15 & were on the ship by 12:45. We looked around the centrum area until our room was ready at 1:00. Wow, what a tiny room! I knew it was a window instead of a balcony, but it was only comfortable for the 2 of us. I gave up trying to shave my legs in the shower, as it was soooo small. I'm not a big person, so I don't know how someone large even can use the shower. But, we didn't spend much time in the room, so it was fine.

Food: We ate most meals in the dining room & enjoyed each one. We ate steak, chicken & prime rib & all were excellent! We met some really nice people. Our table mates for the early dinner seating: 1 couple from Canada & 2 co-workers from NC. Enjoyed meeting them & discussing cruises. The meals we did eat in the Windjammer were good too. We're big salad & fruit eaters, so it was very nice for us. The head waiter even brought me a big bowl of fresh berries for breakfast one morning! YUM!

Shows: Loved the comedian & the magician/comedian! Loved the Love & Marriage game show!!!! But the "middle married" couple failed to listen to instructions; they'd only been married 3 or 4 years. You could tell they just wanted to be on the show. The host said + or - 25 years. I don't think 4 years counts!!! The musical shows were OK, they just seemed to last too long & were too loud.

Ship programs: Go to the Q&A with the Captain & staff; it was excellent! We took a tour of the Galley & really enjoyed it. We sat in all of the clubs & listened to music & thought everyone was really talented. Loved watching older people do ballroom style dancing. We even got to watch the BCS bowl game!

Ports: Loved CoCoCay!!!!! Wow!!!!! We would've loved to have been there for 2 days! Quiet, calm & relaxing!!! The water was so calm! Just loved the BBQ on the beach. Rented 2 floating mats, but the water was too cold to get much use from them. Plenty of beach chairs on every beach! Nassau was OK. Just like all of the other ports with people trying to sell you stuff. We took a tour of Nassau & Atlantis through RC. It was enjoyable; we had a great taxi driver/tour guide. It lasted 2 1/2 hrs & we went to 2 forts & Atlantis.

We were the last group to get off the ship, as we didn't have an early flight. We were to get off at 9:15 & were heading back to the airport by 9:45. Everyone on RC is very helpful & friendly. No one even complained when I ordered a glass of water at the bars (we don't drink). It was a great getaway & we loved it!!!
