This was our first cruise. We went without children, just the two of us.
We arrived at the port around 2 p.m. We wanted to arrive earlier, for an easier embarkation, but the drive from Key West had taken longer than expected. Later our tablemates told us they arrived at 11 a.m. and it took 3 hours for them to go through check-in. For us it was two hours, but we still considered it very long. RCI should learn managing lines better. In our experience British Airways does this very efficiently. Unfortunately our check-in clerk was quite slow and a little incompetent. Immigration (we are not Americans) however, was a breeze.
Our stateroom was on Deck 9. We liked it very much, we didn't find it small or crowded and especially liked the balcony. Our stateroom attendant, Raúl, was a very nice guy and took good care of us.
