The Celebrity Equinox is a beautful ship that, for the most part, is conveniently laid out. The one area that was difficult for some passengers to locate, at first, was Celebrity Central. CC is a great venue on Deck 4 adjacent to the Equinox Theater. It is a very comfortable 200+ seat mini-theater that is a venue for various events: live cooking demonstrations, movies, late night comedy shows, ship specific operational talks and Q & A, bingo, and special interest presentations. On our cruise, we especially enjoyed a 4-part series on the Psycholgy of Relationships presented by Dr. Diane, Psychologist. Each of her 4 topics were highly informative as well as entertaining. Her "How to Talk to a Y Chromosome" was a delight. I would pay just to see that again.

Entertainment: The production shows were high energy and very entertaining. There was a fabulous female classical violinist who also played show tunes and some country. A comedian/pianist from the U.K. (John Conyer - not sure of last name) was a smash hit! Theater-wide standing ovation was no surprise. Another comedian wasn't nearly as entertaining but had part of the audience engaged. Michael's Club, with Katie at the piano was a lot of fun with lots of passenger participation, e.g. sing-a-longs, a spontaneous hora and requests. The String Quartet was outstanding in various venues as was the ocapella group.

Activities: The on-board activities were diverse and plentiful. dance instruction in the Grand Foyer as well as a dance contest (Maria, Activities Manager, did a great job emceeing events and I noted one evening outside the Quasar that she gestured across the floor. Next thing I saw was a male passenger taking his, obviously surprised and smiling, wife by the hand and heading to the dance floor. He looked over at Maria and she gave him a big smile and a thumbs up); "Dancing with the Stripes" where passengers are selected to particpate in a dance contest with members of the Captain's staff. It was an absolute blast. Que, the Cruise Director, had as much, if not more fun, than anyone as a contestant, ditto the Hotel Director. There are lawn game competitions and ping pong tournaments and the Corning Glass show is not to be missed. The "Gym" is well-equipped with numerous elyptical machines, treadmills, weight machines, and free weights and a great view.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2C

Our cabin was very comfortable. Closet and bathroom space will likely be less than at home, but come on, you're on a ship. The cabin service was great. Each night we had the chocolates on the pillows and a new towel sculpture (rabbit, elephant, shark, and hanging monkey.
