Being first time cruisers and also quite young we were unsure if cruising was for us so boarded the ship excited yet apprehensive. The procedure to check us in was straight forward and before long we were in our lovely cabin. We weren't expecting too much from our inside cabin but we were both very pleasantly surprised. The cabin was small but with careful use of all the space available,we had no problems. Everything was functioning and we had a great powerful shower and the lighting was homely.
The itinerary that we followed was great, and despite a change half way through, this did not affect our enjoyment at all.
The onboard facilities were fantastic - 2 lovely saltwater pools, 5 bars and restaurants and loads of activities and displays during the day and night. It has to be said that the cruise is made by the staff. They were simply fantastic. Our cabin steward was attentive and friendly and we had our room serviced twice a day. The bar staff are a huge asset - always friendly, smiling and completely dedicated to serving the passengers. The food was always tasty, varied and plentiful. There was always a show or a game to join in , or loads of different bands in each bar so something to suit everyone.
I would highly recommend to THOMSON DREAM to anyone without a shadow of a doubt. My trip was already going great and then was topped off by a proposal on the bridge, okayed by the very approachable captain. While some more seasoned cruisers felt this boat was a little old and small we had absolutely NO complaints whatsoever. Do it- you'll love it!
