Sail Date: Nov 2004

We sailed on the 11-22-04 sailing of the Sun Princess. This was our second time on the Sun and 5th Princess cruise. We are quite average in our tastes and requirements for vacation. That is, we are not gourmands, or professional writers. However, we do enjoy nice restaurants and good food.

WE arrived a day early and stay at the Fort Lauderdale Renaissance hotel. Thanks to CC board information we saved a lot of money on the room. I picked up 12 pack of Heinken for our next day departure. Ate at a wonderful Mexican restaurant just 1 blk from Renaissance on 17 st.

Arose the next day and right outside our hotel window was the Sun. We of course walked up the 17th st. causeway to take pictures with the Sun in background. Our excitement was building. We grabbed a taxi about 12:00 o'clock, although we later discovered we could have walked through the gate with our documents as passage. Embarkation was painless as usual. We filled out the required Bahamas immigration info. Interesting note here: we discovered that some folks were gripping about the need to fill out paperwork. Uh oh, I hope we are not on a ship of negative ninnies! Turns out we were not.
