This was our(Dad-45, Mom-47, Myself-19 and Brother-11) 6th cruise, 2nd with Carnival. Last year we were on the Carnival Liberty and loved it. This year, not so much.

The cruise leaves on a Sunday out of Tampa. We flew down one day early and rented a car with National/Alamo. They were the cheapest out of all the other companies plus they dropped you off at the port and brought you back to the airport free of charge. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Brandon, Fl. Only 15 minutes away from the airport and a lot of things to do!

Embarkation: Arrived at the terminal around 11:30-12 and the lines were treacherous. We probably waited an hour and a half, if not more, from the time we arrived until the time we got on to the ship. This was the longest we ever had to wait. What can ya do though? When we stepped on board no one welcomed us. The crew members were talking among themselves not minding any business to the passengers. Rude. We had been set to sail around 4 but something went wrong with the port engine so we left around 7 pm. Not a big deal, it didn't change the times at the islands.
