We cruise with our 7 year old daughter for the Christmas cruise, the 2 day journey at sea to get to the first port was lengthy since the company on board was much too old for us. The atmosphere of the ship was old and tired. Very depressing.

The concierge class service that we paid extra for was a waste of money, ex. the hors d'oeuvres every night were tiny, bland and it seemed that they must've prepared them the week before. My daughter and I slept in the king size bed while my husband was stuck on a tiny sponge mattress, very uncomfortable. At night, the walls and the ceiling (it must've been the material they used to build the ship) made crackling noise and beside my bed, by the closet, I could hear some type of boiler room or something, we did not sleep well on this cruise.

As far as the food, the Breakfast and lunch were buffet and always the same menuwas the best of the 3 meals. Always the same fruit, honey dew, cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple.... The dinner was always in the same dining room, and the food was too safe, not enough experimenting from the chef, boring, boring. The highlight of this trip was to get off the ship to the port towns but the beach excursions were too short.
