Sail Date: Dec 2010
Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

We were a party of 4, in adjoining cabins; two in their 50's who have completed 7 cruises, and two in their 80's, who were first time cruisers. We all thoroughly enjoyed this ship and the itinerary offered on this cruise.

Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth, from Sydney's overseas passenger terminal at Circular Quay. Our ocean view cabins were a little tired, with 2 portholes rather than the usual larger window, meaning that there wasn't the usual amount of light in the cabin. However the standard of cleanliness, and the room steward service was faultless. We loved the towel animals every night too.

Although the choice seemed to be a little limited, the food that we had, both in Windjammer and at the 8.30 sitting in the main dining room was very good. Our waiters were excellent, and we couldn't fault either their service, or indeed the service of each and every staff member we had contact with during the entire cruise.

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

cabins 3510 and 3512 were at the front of the ship, and we felt the ship's pitching movement there. The 2 portholes meant that it was not very light, and we needed to have the lights on when we were in there. The wardrobes were poky, the television was small and overall they could do with a refurbishment.
