This is part two of a back to back cruise review. Embarkation day was Halloween, and we were with a group of about 30 back to back cruisers waiting, as instructed, to do a "fifteen minute" clearance with Immigration before re-boarding. We hung out in the Casino for about an hour past the appointed time of 9:30, finally were escorted down to the terminal building (getting our new cruise cards on the way out) and quickly cleared Immigration, only to be herded in the general direction of the new embarkation crowd. One of our group (bless her) protested vigorously, and we were taken back on the other side of the barrier to await - we didn't quite know what. We waited for quite a while, with little to no information in spite of the best efforts of the Junior Purser Trainee assigned to us (thank yo Devin) while, we later heard, the customs folks dealt with some concern or problem - I never heard what, but did see two Labrador Retrievers being loaded back into carrying crates on the dock once we were back on board (finally!) Maybe they did a drug screening or something.

Crew somehow manages to get the ship cleaned and ready for a new group of folks every week - which is amazing enough, but today, they also managed to decorate everything for Halloween, and, many of them got into costume in time for sail away - very festive. We had a large group with us from a gay cruise group called the Bears. These took the place of the several wedding parties, including the Goth Wedding Party from the prior cruise, but were more fun.

Our itinerary for the Eastern Caribbean was less impacted by the hurricane season than the Western itinerary. The only change was a substitution of Nassau for Princess Cay. This wasn't a problem for us as we'd never been to Nassau.
