This was a 5 day cruise that we had just enough time to take before the Christmas Holidays. 2 of us flew into Tampa to meet my daughter and we drove to Miami the night before. Booked a hotel on Priceline with name your own price as we received a free night with our cruise booking. Had to pay the taxes so it cost $18.00 for the Airport Marriot Courtyard. Very nice room and the free warm cookies were a nice touch. I booked this cruise specifically to see Jose' and Patti, an amazing husband and wife singing duo only to find out that they were not on the ship but would be back in only 9 days after our cruise ended. Fire and Ice, another husband and wife duo were there instead. They were amazing and packed the house every night but I was disappointed not to see my favorite couple. We first saw them on the NCL Wind in 2006 out of Hawaii. If you are fortunate to be on this ship between now and May 2011 you will LOVE them. They are so talented and I love their Tribute to Neil Diamond. Jose' sounds just like him. Now about the cruise.

This was my 2nd NCL cruise. There were 3 of us. My 40 yo daughter, my 42 yo brother and myself. We shared one cabin and it worked out fine. My daughter and I were usually the first back to the cabin and the first out in the morning. My brother is more the party animal. Before I review our experience I will say I have never been on a "BAD" cruise yet and this one was no exception though I was disappointed in several things. I booked an inside cabin with a 4 category upgrade to an Obstructed oceanview. I was told that the lifeboats would be directly below our window so we would not be able to look down but we would have a clear view looking out. This was totally not true! The lifeboat was directly in front of the two little rectangular windows we had. They were aprox 6 inches wide by 18 inches long. You could not look down and you could only look through all of the metal to see a little bit of the sky or the water. For $60.00 more pp we could have had a balcony but the others wanted to save money. Oh well, we paid for an inside cabin and got a little sunlight. Now on to the pros and cons.
