This was a trip to remember. It started when I got a e-mail from my travel agency. This cruise was at a price I couldn't pass up and some awesome booking perks(room upgrade - pay the lowest price and get the highest for that category). I was looking for a relaxing get away, not about the ports so much. So I booked my trip for the 12/4/10 sailing. All was well until I was surfing CC and I found out that cruise had been cancelled! K so I get on the phone with the travel agent and get the trip moved to the next week. Not a big deal to me and got yet more perks(this time even lower price on the cruise and OBC)but we lost GSC. Only going to FLA and Bahamas. And because I had booked my excursions through NCL, they re-booked everything. I didn't have to mess with any of that.

So like alot of others, when I read that the Jewel was delayed leaving dry dock I knew it would mess with my cruise also. Sure enough, Friday I get the calls,e-mails and texts - yes they got the word out - we were being delayed. BUT more OBC and no daily $12 charge for Saturday. I was laughing to myself pretty soon this cruise is gonna be free!

I drove to port since I live so close to port. $210.00 to park, but I knew my car was safe at port. Besides I'm used to paying to park in NYC.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

This room was perfect. I had a nice size balcony with two chairs and a table. It is a forward cabin. The cabin has it's own coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. There is a small sofa and coffee table. A straight back chair - kinda like what you would find in a schoolroom. There is a small vanity area with its own light and were the electric plug is located. There is a little stool under the vanity. This is also where the hair dryer is located. I like the fact that the shower had a sliding door not a curtain. I kept the water in and the floor dry. The toilette also has a sliding door for privacy.

The only down fall is with everything that is in this room there isn't alot of room to move around in. I'm a solo traveler so I didn't mind it so much. But I could see falling over each other if there were two or more in the room.
