The UGLY:

We were 'sposed to go to St. Thomas and St. Maarten, as well as the Bahamas, from Pt. Canaveral on 12/4/2011. We got about 1/2 way between the Bahamas and St. Thomas when we lost our starboard engine, or propeller, or something related to that. Our speed went from 20 knots to 10 knots, so NCL "corporate" decided to detour us to Samana, DR, and bring us back to another island in the Bahamas. No St. Thomas, no St. Maarten - instead, we got the Dom. Republic and two different stops in the Bahamas, Nassau, and Grand Stirrup Cay - not what we signed up for. I guess whoever does maintenance on the engine that failed skipped a step. Oh, well.
