Ship Facts: Monarch of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Monarch of the Seas Deck Plans
2nd time on the Monarch
This is the 2ND time my girlfriend and I been on this ship and we loved her both times. If we lived in Florida or with in a few hundred miles we would take this trip a few times a year. Its cheap and we worth every penny. We had room 9012 and with a nice surprise there was a flat screen TV. the room was the larger of the outside ocean views with plenty of room to unpack and not feel like your in a closet like the 122 square foot rooms,,, its worth the extra 100 bucks.I read the reviews here all the time , the reviews on this ship says the rooms are moldy and smell , not this room. The bathroom was not old looking and there was no rust or stains anywhere. The staff was great , very happy and very eager to sell them drinks !! however i rather them look for me then me look for them. The shows are OK, the comedian was hysterical. You have to get to the shows early or be prepared to stand or get a miserable seat with a view of a pole or wall. The night club was good, there was always a nice sized crowd there having a good time . The food is typical , its ok nothing to go nuts over but its not as bad as some of these members say it is. i am a food lover , i eat in the best places in Manhattan and new jersey. i never once said wow this is really bad.. no , its good, enjoy it ..If you think your going to spend $700.00 for a 4 night cruise and get a 2 pound stuffed lobster or a 18 ounce fillet your nuts. if you want that, spend 5k and you will get that on longer trips and bigger ships. The drinks are a little pricey but you know what,,,, your on vacation, ENJOY !

The staff work very hard to please you, so tipping is a good thing , a few dollars goes a long way with service. I still think the cruise should now and then buy you a drink, if you have 5 drinks at least discount the 6Th drink.

We booked a 11 night on Explorer of the seas for March .I cant wait !!

we also will book another 4 night on this ship for late spring .

If your looking for high end modern ship with high end food with luxury suites then this ship is not for you. if your looking for a nice relaxing time with some nice people then book it and enjoy.Just beware of the midnight buffet. some people attack this line like its there last meal, get there early if you want to enjoy it, if your there late, have fun on that 1 hour line !! lol

coco cay, very nice beaches and relaxing day, Nassau is OK, been there a few times so you run out of things to do, the beach at Atlantis is nice, you get to see there aquarium that is very very nice, grab a bite to eat at Senior frogs at the port, its a lot of fun. if you think the drinks are pricey on the boat you will be floored by the drinks in that place, i think there double lol. However, i would do it all over again in a heart beat.
