We are two retired seniors, having cruised more than thirty times.
Celebrity is rapidly becoming our favorite line, and there are good reasons for that, one of the main ones being the introduction of the Solstice class, of which the Equinox is the second, being the younger sister to the name setting Solstice class of 122,000 ton 2,850 passenger ships.
Having done a 14 day (two 7's back to back) on Solstice earlier this year, we had heard from then fellow cruisers that the Equinox was even nicer. It is no insult to the Equinox to say that we did not in general find this so, but it is a compliment to the Solstice to say that there is so little to improve upon. Yet, there are small touches here and there which show innovation or improvement from areas that are difficult in themselves difficult to improve on.
6294 by number, at stern end. Listed as "obscured" Was not lifeboat obscured (see main body of review) but downward, not outward view, obscured by extensive solar panels.
Well soundproofed and quiet. Bedtime reading lighting could be improved on.
Door could be made to stay open when full extended to allow access for room service, suitcases in and out, etc.
