Hi everyone - My partner and I just returned from an amazingly relaxing 10 nights on the Celebrity Equinox. Everything was top notch making any manipulation required on my part to book another cruise while onboard practically unnecessary. I was prepared though.

Embarkation - Fast, easy and a great start. I do have to say that since we had booked a suite, we were able to walk straight up to a rep and were on board in about 15 minutes from walking in the doors so this may not be everyone's experience. I did ask others we met onboard how theirs was and they all said it was painless and just what embarkation is - waiting in line for a rep, getting your paperwork processed and then boarding. Unless I have to wait around in the heat for hours with no explanation, I'm fine.

Cabin - We booked a suite guarantee and were lucky enough get assigned one of the corner aft Sky Suites. The layout, the corner balcony, the large porthole all made for a wonderful place to come back to and rest up, watch a movie or pass out after a busy day. I did take note of some great design features, especially in the bathroom. There was a fan not only in the bathroom, but also in the tub/shower so no matter how long or hot a shower you took, the bathroom never ended up humid and filled with steam. In addition, the shower had a piece of glass (similar to foreign hotel bathrooms) that allowed light in and also allowed you to see out so you didn't feel claustrophobic when the shower curtain was drawn. The shelving on both sides of the sink area had mirrored doors which not only helped with making the room feel larger (and myself by the end haha) but also hid all of our toiletries and clutter. Drawers, open shelves and a built in trash bin under the vanity were well thought out. Yes we did have those crazy poles, but they mentally disappeared after the first day. At first they had the chair and end table next to the night stand but we moved them to the end of the sofa next to the one pole which made more sense. It made the pole feel like it was meant to be there and also created a true sitting area with sofa, end table, chair and coffee table. One negative though were the horrible pillows - what the heck was in those things??? We were very impressed with the TV and all of the functionality and options available. The music options alone were amazing, from Big Band to Punk, it was all there. It was also nice to be able to review your bill on the TV. We found one mistake and were able to get it corrected asap. Also, I couldn't believe the free on demand movie selections. We watched Duplicity, Sherlock Holmes and The Proposal while napping on sea days.

Great location, very quite location, poles were not a problem, balcony was the best part, quite a walk to the elevators.
