This was my 10th Carnival cruise and I have attained Platinum status. The priority boarding and free laundry are the best perks. We had priority boarding anyway with the suite and I was glad cuz this port terminal was a zoo! I also enjoyed the special line at guest services. The other stuff, like picture frame and stationary was nice too. This cruise was for my husband's 40th and my son's 12th b-days. We booked an Ocean Suite and were very pleased with the room. Spacious, lots of storage, private balcony plenty big enough for all three of us, nice dressing table/vanity, nice granite counters, jacuzzi tub etc. We liked the suite! We enjoyed the in-cabin pay per view movies. This being my 10th cruise, some of the on board entertainment has lost its charm and having my son with us, it was nice to just relax in the room in the evenings. First night we made a reservation at Scarletts. Gal who booked our reservation said we could dine "cruise casual." Well we got there and the hostess/manager insisted my husband change out of shorts and wasn't as nice as she should have been given it wasn't our foul up. Luckily our bags had arrived so after a quick change, we still managed to enjoy our meal. We did take the issue up with the head chef, Roul and he was awesome. As an offering, he made my son an amazing chocolate birthday cake a few days later. Class act Roul!!! Thank you. Our second rough patch was a guest had a heart attack and we had to divert from the itinerary so Grand Caymans was out and Costa Maya was the replacement. So/so port and we decided to go snorkeling. The water was choppy and the reef was shallow. We did not feel safe, especially after I got

cut on the coral. We sat on the beach for most of the excursion and my son played on the beach, so not major but still a small bummer.

The rest of the excursions were amazing. We LOVED the jeep/cavern/beach tour in Cozumel, cave tubing in Belize and Maya Key in Roatan. Did not like the long lines getting back on the ship...ugh!!! Also I noticed there were a few low rent types on board. It wasn't a problem but just amazing how some people act in public.
