NCL EPIC Suite and Review

Sail Date: November 2010
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

Embarkation...NCL sure lost its touch on this one...

we were greated in a rather harsh way when we walked into the wrong room...."THAT ROOMS FOR SUITE FOLKS WAITING TO BE ESCORTED"""...well sheesh we were indeed suite folks...you know where this one went..they did a reverse when they found out we were in fact suite folks but we did not like the harshness of the persons greating...no personal touch here....nice way to start...

signin process was good then we were escorted to a waiting area to be walked onto ship...area was with a few other suite folks....

we realized 20 minutes later after watching the rest of ship being allowed onto ship we were forgotten....then someone asked why we were all sitting there......second strike!!

once we got on we were lead into the EPIC lounge area of the suite complex...totally unorganized to say the least...like we were all hearded onto a cattle ranch......no organisation or touch...

then a butler was More introduced whom proceeded to walk us around the suite complex and the ammenities....this person has no command of the english language what so ever and it was so hards to understand what the man was saying people just left and headed back to the lounge until the word we could enter out suites was given.....i felt sorry for him for trying so hard....but....

conceirge was good but not touch or personal attention was given..this is a problem with ncl on most ships......not even a single room visit......we were not impressed at this being in the owners suite...we sure felt like regulars....

the suite was way to busy....to many mirrors and glass...had hard time adjusting to what was a door and what was a window..walked into many for the first few days...

electricity is or appears to be a problem on this ship..to many times did the lights seem to loose power or dim....oplus took forever to figure everything out as to which light was which....

NCL should have a cabin item lists on how to run everything....

open air balcony ..yeah right.......means open air..not windows that open..lol

tv was horrible each button press person was forced to watch an NCL fact ie how many ncl folks to change a light bulb or something stupid...really slowed the tv process down....

pro of the tv was account review...

con was slow between channels and no navigation channel(not working....)

main bathroom curved glass door is a hazard..slams shut every time....sooner or later the glass will shatter.....

very hard to reach sun deck of suite area..no signage to say which way to which...

PRO of the suite complex was dedicated dining facility....YES...we did not have to leave the complex to eat..this was a major pro of this NCL...

entertainment was great....ship easy to manover...

CASINO was a complete disappointment......hard to manouover.......

disembarkation was good...no problems.......

ship in itself was overall great....we just preferr mid size ships..

NCL however really needs to improve of suite personal touch by their conceirges and bulters......they are all to busy.... Less
