Great Vacation

Sail Date: November 2010
Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Other

Since this was our first cruise we were not sure what to expect. We have heard a lot from friends that have taken several cruises.

Embarkation consisted of filling out papers for each of us (3), registering a credit card for purchases on the ship and having our pictures taken. We were then able to select our dinner preference which was the Crystal Room both nights.

We chose the smaller of the suites which was more than adequate. The ship is older and even though our room was very clean and well appointed it was not the most modern.

Everyone on the ship was so polite and helpful. My first luxury was to treat myself to a foot and ankle massage in the spa, which was wonderful. They offer many services, even hair cutting, foiling and makeup application.

We then proceeded to dinner in the Crystal Room. It was exceptional, service was attentive and the food delicious. There are opportunities to sit in the pub and listen to a singer and music, go to the More shows (which my husband and friend did) or spend the evening in the casino (which they did afterward). I was feeling very tired and so went back to the cabin early.

We did the two night stay at Our Lucaya as a package with the cruise.

Overall we would definitely recommend the Bahamas Celebration. It was a wonderful experience. Give it a try! Less

Cabin review: Bahamas Celebration

Our cabin was spacious with a nice sized bathroom. We had a queen size bed, and a roll away in the living room area. We did have the smaller of the suites.

Port and Shore Excursions

Freeport was very welcoming when we arrived. There was music, vendors and just a very positive feel.
