Went on this ship because it was brand new and the price was unbelievable for a party of 3 in a balcony cabin. We were not disappointed. Epic is...well...epic. The entertainment was THE best I have ever experienced on a cruise. If they had stopped at "Blue Man Group" alone, it is far superior to anything we had ever experienced previous. But when you add Cirque du Soleil, Legends in Concert, Howl at the Moon, Second City and an wonderful Blues band call Roadside Louis and the Dusters....we were certainly well entertained. The cabin was uniquely shaped as expected and they have corrected the early issues with the sink and separated the cabin with a draw curtain for privacy when showering. The food was satisfactory in the main dining room and the Garden Buffet, but Moderno was well worth the cover charge if you are a serious meat lover and the service was outstanding as well. Just a hint...don't eat too much salad, even though it is tempting to do so...save room for the main fare here. We did not select this cruise for the itinerary...so we were not expecting much. Costa Maya is a very poor area, we rented a golf cart and we were a little hesitant driving around given that crime in Mexico is well addressed in the current media. We did not venture on to Roatan as we saw guards with shot guns escorting a man to the bank on the pier, so we had a drink and went back on board to enjoy the nice sunny, warm day. Cozumel has a new name our minds "Accost" amel, as you could not walk two feet on the main street without being asked to shop. Overall, we selected this cruise for the ship and we were not disappointed. My daughter especially enjoyed the water park (as did my husband and I), the bowling alley and the Wii games on the 2 story atrium screen! So it really does matter the size of the ship, as we never ran out of things to do!
