My wife and I took our first Seabourn cruise this past October onboard the Odyssey from Athens to Venice. Overall we really enjoyed the trip and the ship was wonderful, probably the nicest cabin bathroom we have ever had. So overall impressions we had were:
1) the ship was great although we think we prefer a ship with a little more to do. Being in our early 50's we aren't quite ready for this type of cruise.
2) our cabin (820) was great. Big, comfortable, clean, one of the best we have ever had.
3) food started off almost over the moon but as the cruise went on settled down to be just very good! Service was excellent in every restaurant and you got the feeling people were actually interested in helping you.
4) itinerary was great with Monte Negro being a very special highlight for us. It was suggested we get up early, 6am, to watch the ship navigate it's way into port and it was one of the best recommendations we had, absolutely wonderful.
Overall we really liked the cruise however there could be a little more clarity around the no tipping policy and dress code but we played it safe and dressed up and tipped at the end. The tip was a personal choice though as there was never any mention or pressure however in conversation with other passengers there was some confusion.
