Sail Date: Nov 2004

This was our first Celebrity Cruise- we have sailed Royal Caribbean, Costa and Holland America. Wanted to try Celebrity after hearing about great service. We were in the concierge class cabins which offer more services than deluxe cabins but smaller cabins than suites. We were extremely pleased with the service in our cabin and in the dining room- far superior to HAL. 2nds were encouraged which seems to be a rarity these days.

Very understated and not in your face style-they treat you like an adult and expect everyone to read the nightly programs, in-cabin programming guide, etc. so they do not do loudspeaker announcements or "hawk" the shore excursions. Good shipboard activities. I was pleased to see that everyone dressed up appropriately on formal nights and informal nights and even casual nights were "elegant casual."

Food was excellent and the special midnight spectacular on night 5 was out of this world and far surpassed any other we had seen. We could purchase a soda card that was good for the week for unlimited sodas anywhere on ship-- that was a definite plus.
