We looked forward to having a cruise on the Jewel. We had sailed before on Norwegian Wind and Norwegian Spirit. We liked these two cruises very much. We had not sailed on Norwegian for 5 years instead going on Princess, Holland America, and Royal Carribbean

This was a seven day Bahama from New York over Thanksgiving. We expected children. There were 700. The passengers were mostly from NYNY with large numbers of Russian, Chinese, and Indian. People speaking english were a rarity.

The Jewel class ship carries too many passengers for what it has to offer. This is compounded by the space that is used for the duty free shop. The ship always seemed crowded, The traffic patterns are poorly designed and always seemed to bump into somwthing. There just doesnt seem to be enough room on the ship. Theyve cluttered it up with a bunch of useless junk.
