We had not taken Celebrity in a few years so we recently booked a 3 nighter.

The Eclipse is a beautiful ship, elegant and luxurious but not garish. The service was amazing and the food was the best we have had on any of the 52 cruises we have taken. We favor Crystal, Radisson, MSC and Holland America but are fine with RC and NCL's newer ships. Costa is a disaster and Carnival has it's own customer base but we are not Carnival customers.

We had a mini-suite which was beautifully appointed yet smaller than most. The bedding was terrific, one of the most comfortable we have ever experiences at sea. The embarkation and disembarkation was flawless. The cabin steward was very anxious to be of service as were the dining room servers. We hate buffets but the one on Eclipse was so well laid out and the food so good that we had lunch there twice. We used the dining room for breakfast and tried some of the specialty restaurants. The Bistro on 5 is great with only a very minimal cover charge. Those who visited the upscale restaurants raved about them but we waited too late to make reservations.

Cabin Review

Too little "desk space" and drawers.
