Arrived at port of Miami at 1. Expected to zip through based on Cruise Critic reviews but stood in line for close to 2 hours. We had 4 excellent cabins(3 with balconies) for 8 family members. Very clean, spacious and well maintained.
2 granddaughters, 5 and 9 were with us and we loved the H2O Zone. They enjoyed several of the children's activities.
Food in the dining room was very inconsistent. Some meals good but some poor. Not a strength of Royal Caribbean. Took great advantage of room service, pizza at Sorrento's and coffee, tea and snacks on royal promenade.
Entertainment with exception of comedians was poor. Singers and dancers were talented but shows were dull with poor musical choices. Last family cruise on Celebrity had excellent shows so we were disappointed.
Dinner in Chops was outstanding. Very good food and outstanding service. They even cut up the grand kids' steaks!
2 of the 3 port visits were very short. 7 to 2 in San Juan and 11:30 to 5 on Labadee.
Ship needs some refurbishing but was kept very clean. Staff was uniformly friendly and efficient.
Ship is great for families with young children. We enjoyed the cruise but with a little better food and entertainment it could have been outstanding.
