Our embarcation process was quite smooth and there was no one else in line. The only issue was that our driver had a difficult time trying to locate the exact spot to drop us off. Our room was ready upon our arrival, three pm. Our luggage was in our room within a couple of hours. We had purchased a wine package and would recommend that option to others. We reserved dinner at the specialty restaraunt the first day to ensure we got a day that worked best for us.
We only signed up for one of the tours and that was to Kusadasi, Turkey. We had actually paid for this tour prior to our trip. We were able to book a driver to take us around Santorini while we were there and also booked a driver upon arrival in Olympia. We walked or took public trasportation in the other ports.
On board the ship, we participated in several micorosoft classes and one cooking demonstration. We attended a few shows but really enjoyed the guitar player in the Crows Nest bar each evening. We More
never had a problem finding a lounge chair near the pool. I had a massage in the spa and it was great!
We have read other reviews about the food and we found the food to be of good quality and quantity. We were ready to eat elsewhere after ten days. Less
We walked to the public transportation and the train took us to just outside the Acropolis. After visiting that area we walked around the town and ate at a small cafe. There was so much history it was an amazing port.
This is one port that exceded our expectations. We had done some research, but found the sites fabulous. We had booked a tour to the home of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus and would highly recommend others to visit these same sites.
Just like the postcards..We took the cable car ride to the top of the hillside and after walking about the town booked a private tour for a few hours. Our driver took us around the island stopping at various spots so we could explore and take photos. This was a good way to see the island and cost less than booking with a large tour company.
