Here are highlights and a quick review.

Boarding is spread out over 4 or 5 hours so it is never crowded. We boarded at about 12:30 and the process took about 15 minutes. Docked right next to us was the Carnival Splendor [dead in the water]. Later towed to SFO for major repairs. HAL allows guests to bring aboard their own wine and booze..sooo...we did. No problem...and added some from P.V. on the stop.

Mazatlan isn't much. At ship side there is a small terminal with vans and drivers for city tours..$25 per passenger. AC with water. Enjoyable with a stop at very clean restaurant right on a very clean beach near the newer hotels area. In terminal is a small tourist shopping area with a charming courtyard with music and dancing.....arriving from our tour, just before we left at about 4:30 the dance floor was crowded with the power drinkers fully loaded with Tequila. Cheap entertainment.
