Embarkation- Was pretty smooth, no long lines. Now here is the big plus for those of you who like to drink. After you pass the security checkpoint they have a duty free shop that sells liquor. We only bought a bottle of Patron (I don't drink) but I'm sure you can buy as much as you can fit on your carry on, just make sure to put it in your bag because you're technically not suppose to bring it on board and they will take it from you your if they see it with the exception of champagne and 2 bottles of wine.

Stateroom- We got a balcony room for the first time which was located in the Caribe deck. By far this is the best place to get a balcony deck as the decks are the biggest. Our stateroom was really nice. Huge balcony, flat screen TV, the room itself was really well maintained. No ripped sheets or bad carpeting like other people have mentioned. The bathroom is really small but I expected that. We had an awesome stateroom attendant, Robert from the Philippines. He was the nicest crew member we encountered (more on that later). Our room was always quickly cleaned and he was very attentive to our needs.

Ship- This is a very nice ship and very well maintained. I'm sure that if you look close enough you can tell its age but aren't all ships this way? The ships passengers consisted of Americans of 50+ years, Puerto Ricans of all ages and some Europeans also 50+ years. It was obvious that some people were not happy with the amount of Puerto Ricans on the ship. I speak Spanish, so let me tell you they were not very happy with the Americans or Europeans either. I thought it was really funny I couldn't wait to get out of the elevators sometimes just to translate for my husband. I can honestly say being on the outside looking in and coming from an extremely culturally diverse family that this was simply a culture clash. Also remember most people drink significantly on cruises and this makes some people rude and/or careless in their actions.
