Best cruise yet out of 11 past cruises! Carnival Dream was great! Shows were good, one was best we ever saw, one was ok! Thought it would be a problem with lines, but were pleasantly surprised that even though its one of their biggest ships, lines were not an issue at any point!
Ports of Call, Cozumel was good, took the Ferry over to the mainland which was interesting and seemed busier then Cozumel. Car Rental is best cost effective way to get around the island (one road about 60 miles long circles the island) and some great beach bars along the way for hitting the beach or the water.
Belize and Cave Tubing was the highlight of the cruise. www.cave-tubing.com was half the price of the Carnival Tour, it was longer and I can't imagine the Carnival Tour guides being any funnier or better then cave-tubing.com ... We're loyal Carnival Cruisers, but if you want one of the best adventures, best prices (half of Carnivals price) sign up with these people. Speedo and Richard were our guides and were fantastic! First Class operation from the time they meet you with you name on a sign. Free Lunch afterwards, and a free drink on the buss on the way! Bring as little as possible with you, but a camera is a must! These guys do it with a passion! Speedo and Richard were our Guides and were Great!
Roatan Honduras, we rented a car for $85.00 and toured the southern part of the island. Saw alot and had a better time then just staying in the Carnival Village! Guards with Shotguns and Auto Weapons at any place where money changed hands were a little intimidating but we didn't have any problems at all. Just stay with what the rental car recommends as to roads and places to stop.
Costa Maya, we though was just going to be a short shopping trip.... I would recommend to go outside the gate, and rent a golf cart! We got them for $30. a piece plus a 10 tip for a total of $70. for the whole time we were there (3 couples) and had a ball .. go into town .. great beach shopping area and beach and water area for snorkeling or just the beach.
The Carnival Dream Completed our best Cruise yet out of the 11 we have done! One show was the best we have ever seen, one other was just ok! Comedians were good, The Fun Guy or Dude as he calls himself didn't seem like he liked what he was doing, but he was ok! He was I guess the fixed intro on the ship for all the comedians which were all good, and had better show times. Adult comedy was at 9:45 instead of the normal midnight shows!
Great Ship! Crew were great too! No issues! Food is always good! I can never understand anyone complaining about the food on a cruise! If you don't like it they'll give you a dozen of everything else on the menu until you find something you like, so whats to ever complain about, unless your just a complainer and in that case ..STAY HOME! ! ! ! ! and leave more room for us! Life is Good!
