Valor cruise we recently went on was a big disappointment. Stale smoke smelling balcony room, banging of bass drum from deck below 8 pm to 1:30 a.m. for 7 days straight. Wait staff that wouldn't fill a urn with creamer but pointed and told me to get some from the other side of Lido Deck. Wait staff with badge that said he was from St. Vincent, I asked him where is St. Vincent? He wouldn't tell me but snapped back "it's an island" and took off.
Valor's balcony room on deck 6 had, stale cigarette odor for 7 days onboard.
room was casino. Never heard the slots, but they had a small staging
area in casino where a band played every night from 8 p.m. till 1:30
a.m. and the bass drum sound permeated through the floor, or mattress
and pillows. Couldn't sleep much for 7 days with the banging of the
bass drum. With tv on you could still hear the noise. Everything else
was okay in the room. They did leave a paper when we got into the room
that talked about dust clouds?? and had a pic of a bug on the paper.
They said don't put luggage under bed. They could get into luggage.
They could be found in corners of closets etc. Officers and staff in white uniforms that walked pass us never smiled or nodded or said hello. Waiters, waitresses never smiled. Always looked uphappy, angry and NEVER friendly, wouldn't speak. They could have at least smiled. The shops didn't even carry a picture postcard of the ship we could buy. The postcard spinner was half empty from the time we sailed and was never filled. We ate in Rosies and some of the food was okay. Potato Leek soup was very tasty. Broccoli every meal. Always bland and tasteless. 80's performance in Ivanhoe was very amateuress. Atrium smelled of cigarette smoke on upper level. Never will sail on this ship again.
