One of our long time wishes were fulfilled on this journey. My wife has always wanted to see and touch a Sloth, and I have wanted to see Aruba so we found a perfect cruise that offered both and more.
It is always nice to get away but this time it was extra memorable with seeing the Panama Canal visiting places we have only read about, experiencing the views of rain forests and the humidity was awesome to feel the rain in eighty degree weather and not feel cold and be dry a few minutes later (except for the humid part it was actually enjoyable)
The Sloth Sanctuary excursion was one of the highlights of the trip for us. It was a bit overpriced compared to what you get for that price. However upon seeing her eyes light up and knowing it meet a long time yearning, it did mean so much more.
We also took an excursion to visit by means of bus ride to river and on motorized canoes for about forty minutes to see an Indian Village. The canoes were carved from trees and even thou it rained most of the way there it was another cherished trip. Seeing the artwork created by the tribe and how they make the dyes for coloring of the baskets/bowls/ and cloth work having fresh fish and plantain served in a bowl made from banana leafs was neat.
Aruba was awesome I just walked around town and had some one on one conversations about life there and visited the Casino (paid for trip-- well at least the drinks)and enjoyed walking around.
Oh yea Review ??? LOVED EVERY MINUTE--AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HART BEAT
WHETHER YOU ARE A FIRST TIMER OR A SEASONED CRUISER-- THIS IS A KEEPER :-)
