We stayed at the holiday inn port of Miami across the street from Bayside market! Would never stay there again its a old hotel and was redone a few years ago but is still old elevators broke down, we were on 10th floor this is not a 3 star hotel at all! maybe 1 star. That was the start of our trip, then after 2 days stay there then we were embarkation was smooth then onto the Epic which was amazing! my husband and i took a 2 weeks back to back, we are in our late 50's, and have been on 5 other cruises with Princess and RC, and the NCL. The Epic so much to see and do! The entertainment they have a letter each day with all the things to do that day and you can decide what suits you and the same at night.
We had Voltaire as our room stewart and he was the best our room was always perfect and he always made us animals at night and was the nicest friendly room stewart. Hes the best! and also the service in all the other main dining to buffet was great overall we had great service. Also we did not see the pushing drinks like many complain about. We are not smokers, but we also did not smell or see smoke when entering or in casino which its hard to understand peoples complaints very net picking many of these reviews!! and we were on the Epic for 2 weeks! and did not see any of these things they complain about!
We went on NCL excursions on 6 island western and eastern discover Atlantis and harbor cruise, it was not done well at all we ended up not finishing it and getting a cap back, and also best of Roatan Island excursion was another one not done well! NCL may want to look over some of these excursions. Cozumel highlights & shopping and Costa Maya Mayan reality these excursions were great.
State room 13278 we liked our room it was comfy cozy lots of storage, the bathroom and shower for us was great.
We went to 4 of the paid dining and liked them are favorite was the french, we liked taste and manhatten and buffet,all very good! there was many choices. unlike some reviews! complaining about dining! what is wrong with these people they need to stay home and cook like they must do!! not to love the dining!! the Food on the Epic was Awesome We want to give a special thanks to Mr. Kati restaurant manager for taking care of us and the great job hes doing on the Epic.
Entertainment the blueman and was great all the shows and the comedy were alwesome jeff hobson so funny! Bernie martini he was great!legends in concert were a must see,so many good shows! and also i can't forget Rudi all his diamonds international advice and tips on how to save on shopping we saved so much great advice don't miss Rudi!! We can't forget the cruise director Paul Scally his show the last night was so funny and his energy on ship makes it!!
Disembarkation was easy and fast and now we will begin planning our next freestyle cruise NCL is the best!!
The photo gallery was a bit confussing for a back to back everyone there gave differant answers trying to purchase and find photos was very hard!
