Cruise Critic Review Vision of the Seas 10-18—2010 Venice: The Holy Land

Summary: We found the Vision of the Seas a lovely ship with a fine crew. We chose the trip primarily for the itinerary. We prefer the larger ships with promenade and specialty restaurants. With the exception of a few points, we enjoyed the cruise and the places we visited.

1. Arrival to Venice: Day early Marriott Courtyard free shuttle except during siesta (2-4 pm) so we arrived at two and rather than wait 2 hours took a taxi for the mile long trip. Internet was 12 Euros/day. Costly but ok. Except only through cable and our cable connection did not work. Oh, and no restaurant on Sundays. Had shuttle but would not take us to Pier. So taxi: 50 Euros for 4 of us. Great start!
