The ship was fine for a traveling hotel. The food was not great but it was okay. I'm not fond of paying more for supposedly better food at specialty restaurants on a cruise as I think a varied menu of good food should be available in the main dining rooms rather than serving the same food throughout the ship (two dining rooms as well as the buffet). The plus for the Norwegian Jade is that check-in is a breeze and their ship staff is wonderful. The ports of call were fabulous! Be sure to spend a minimum of two or three days in Barcelona pre- or post-cruise. Disembarkation was also easy although we had to wait for our bus to fill before we could depart for the airport.

We thought the port of Naples would lead to our most pleasant day. It was fun but disappointing due to booking with RomeInLimo. Although we'd experienced two lovely days with RIL in Lirovno (Volterra, San Gimignano, and Siena) and Rome, in Naples all we had was a driver who dropped us at Pompeii, Sorrento, and Positano and did little else except pull over at some lookouts. We loved Pompeii but don't feel we experienced Sorrento and Positano to their fullest. We would have been so much better off to have just taken the train ourselves. Although RomeInLimo says their drivers/tours are flexible, our driver Gennaro would not take us to a renowned pizza place in Naples although we asked him the very first thing if we could arrange our day so we could go there. At our last stop, Positano, our driver only pointed out La Siraneuse on the way out of town rather than telling us how to get there (or better yet, dropping us off so we could enjoy the view and a drink). All five of us on this tour were especially disappointed with Positano, and I think it was because our driver just parked and pointed us toward the shopping area. If we didn't ask the right questions to take advantage of the town, it was because on our other two RIL tours, we didn't have to as we were well taken care of and our driver/guides inquired about our interests. Avoid RIL for the port of Naples unless all you want is a driver! You can see and do the same things yourself and save several hundred euros or more (our trip for five was five hundred euros).

We took a RomeInLimo tour with Marco and had a full, fun, and interesting day. We zipped all around the city for sightseeing and loved every minute of it. Since this was our second time in Rome we didn't have to visit St. Peters/Vatican museum/Sistene Chapel and instead spent the time seeing new sights as well as revisiting the ruins, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. This RomeInLimo tour was great!
