When we arrived in Ft. Lauderdale we came down the escalator in the airport and immediately noticed the "Princess People" holding up their signs for all to see. We did not pre-book the Princess transfer; we decided that we would take the bus at cost of $14 p.p. The transfer bus makes 3 other stops prior to getting to the ship and then a tip is expected (rightly so) for the driver who has to load and unload the bags. At the end of the cruise we took a taxi, they were plentiful and it cost us $11.30 on the meter, we gave $15. The distance between the port / airport is very short but of course the bus takes longer due to the stops.

Our cabin was a little more forward than we usually book but due to calm seas we did not feel motion, nor did we hear the anchor chains in Princess Cays. I could hear the anchor when I was on the balcony but not from inside the room. We found the beds to be hard and requested a foam topper, the cabin steward came with one piece of foam while we were at the muster drill. When I asked him for foam for the entire bed he came back with a mattress pad with a nice foam piece built in so we were comfortable. The room seemed to lack some of the drawer space that other ships have but we managed. I did find it odd that the clothes cupboard did not have doors on it. That meant that the first thing that one saw when the door was opened was clothing and shoes.

We enjoyed the 2 comics that they had on board as well as the ventriloquist and the juggler. They also had a crew show that was very good, they only had a very short water spitting episode...other lines have a very long part of the crew show where they spit water all over one another. They have some really good singers and musicians amongst the crew members so try not to miss it.
