My sister and I took this cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday. I've always wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise, and liked having so many ports to visit.

Boarding: We were directed to the red carpet area and greeted cheerfully by our butler. He marked our bags for delivery, and escorted us up to the Top Sail Lounge, the private lounge for Yacht Club members. We were given a tour as we went along, and introduced to the Concierge on our arrival. After a brief stay in the lounge for a drink, we were escorted to our cabin by the Concierge, and found our bags waiting for us.

Meals: Our assigned dining room was Villa Verde. We were given a table for 2 by the window, which was perfect. We had worried we might be placed at a big table with people who didn't speak English. Our water was a very nice Indonesian guy whose name I couldn't begin to pronounce or spell. By the second night he knew our drink preferences. He was very attentive, we were never kept waiting. I was a bit leery of what we would find with the food, but it was quite good. Beef was served medium-rare, just the way I like it, and I found it to be very tender and tasty. The bread was delicious. They seem to have a fondness for potatoes, as they were served every night, but we didn't mind. The desserts varied. Some were delicious, some we chose to pass. On those nights we usually went up to the lounge and found a better alternative. We ate at l'Olivo one night (the Mediterranean a la carte restaurant, which was included at no extra charge for us. I was expecting more of a Middle Eastern cuisine, and didn't see much that appealed to me. I didn't really care for my selections either, but that was likely more because of my tastes than from any deficiency in the food. The dessert there was delicious! The buffet, where we ate lunch a couple of times, was very crowded, and the only variation from day to day was the type of pasta and meat, and the desserts. But the food there was decent too. We learned that sitting in the Pago Pago area instead of Bora Bora was far less crowded, and much quieter. Santa Fe, the Tex-Mex restaurant, was available for an upcharge, and their fajitas were excellent. We tried breakfast at Villa Verde, at the buffet, and in the lounge. All were good, but we preferred the convenience and atmosphere of the lounge. There was a continental buffet, and you could order eggs, meats, etc. It was great when we had to meet for a shore excursion.

Very nice cabin, great balcony. It was also very quiet. Convenient to Yacht Club lounge via staircase, or to elevator. Good sized closet, ample storage. Nice bathroom. Comfortable beds.
