We boarded in Brooklyn Terminal which was far superior in many ways from Ft. Lauderdale---very spacious & more organized. We loved the AA category because of the 12th deck & seeming exclusivity of only 50 cabins. The dining area in Club Britannia was intimate & quiet. Service was superior to HAL & RCI.
We went dancing in the Queens Room ballroom every night---the 9 piece band was fantastic. All the clubs had excellent musicians!! Enjoyed the jazz trio in the Chart Room & the pianist finishing the evening in the Commodore Club Lounge.
My husband enjoyed smoking cigars in Churchill's. He even enjoyed dressing in his CK tux on the 2 formal nights. We loved all the different areas that you can sit & read. The library is wonderful& charming. The ship is HUGE but very warm with its decor of muted colors. It's very classy & rich, but you feel comfortable & relaxed. The staff is friendly, efficient & welcoming.
Food was outstanding at all the meals & the waitstaff was superb. Had an excellent table (160), which was in by a wall/alcove that overlooked the rest of the dining area & out toward the ocean.
The QM2 was so great that we just booked a 24-day Transatlantic/Northern Europe on her May 2011.
