Ship Facts: Costa Atlantica Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Costa Atlantica Deck Plans
Average...you get what you pay for.
Let's start with the positives:

Beautiful Ship.

Nice room and bathroom.

2 for 1 drinks in the evening.

Good price for cruise.

Best embarkation and disembarkation we've ever had (more later).

Very nice serving staff and room staff.

Reasonably priced WiFi - 16 Euros (plus 3 Euro admin fee - only on your first three hours) for three hours...it ran slowly, but not too badly.

Food - reasonably good...at least as good as the other lines we've cruised on.

Negatives:

Every announcement in Italian, English, German, Spanish, and French...ridiculous. Also every trivia question...

Many of their translations into English were incorrect...I can only assume that would be the same for the other languages.

Very hard bed - although this is personal preference.

Very annoying cruise director - mentioned by quite a few other passengers.

Everything priced in Euros - the cruise may have been inexpensive, but once you got on board everything was the same price (or higher) as the other cruise lines, but in Euros...so you had to times everything by 1.4 to get the price in US dollars.

Daily activity sheet does not have a tear-off section (me being picky...but it is so much easier to carry around).

Free crafts - we tried to go to one, but too many people turned up.

No maps by the elevators.

Library only open three hours a day and tedious check-out process.

Disembarkation - went very well for us, but not run well. We rented a car and because we docked overnight in Quebec City we deposited our large bags the day before we had to disembark, so we just had carry-off luggage on the day of disembarkation. No questionnaire sent around to see when you needed/wanted to disembark. Just arbitrary times assigned. We just got ready and left at 8:00 am, but our assigned time (if we had checked luggage) was 10:45 am.

There needs to be more adherence to the dress code...on formal night there shouldn't be people eating in the dining room in jeans and t-shirts.

Terrible guest performers...although their own staff was quite good.

Overall...better than we expected after reading some of the Costa reviews. Would we go again on Costa? Maybe if the price and itinerary were right, but definitely not our first preference.
