Sail Date: Oct 2010

Took the 10 day HA Eurodam from Quebec City, up the St. Lawrence River and down the east coast ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Loved Quebec City...first visit...spent two days exploring...highly recommend. Boarded Eurodam about 2:30p.m. with no significant wait, went directly to our cabin, met our cabin steward and off we went to explore. We have a couple of acquaintances that did not like the layout of this ship but we found it to our liking. It housed about 2100 passengers which in my estimation is the top amount for sailing. We found the ship to be very clean, the staff to be very accommodating and genteel...not pushy like some cruise lines. We tried all of the dining venues and by far, The Tamarind was the very best. The Pinnacle Grill was lovely, great service and presentation but the food was just mediocre. I actually enjoyed Canaletto (sp?) but my husband felt it was asian cooks trying to become italian cooks.

Ports: Halifax (we had been before) we opted to go to Peggy's Cove which was a very picturesque port...loved it; Gaspe, Baie Comeau, Sydney....H/A could have skipped all three and saved it for a stop further down the east coast such as Charleston or Savannah. Bar Harbour as always was magnificent, especially Acadia National Park. Glouster was okay...walked to the Fisherman's Statue and back...city not so great but took the afternoon tour to Rockport which is worth a visit. We found the entertainment great and a good variation. Dance music with the Hal Cats was lively and fun. If you couldn't find entertainment to your liking, then you really must be hard to please because there was certainly a wide variety.

We are early retirees that cruise 3-4 times per year with different cruise lines. This was our first with H/A and definitely won't be the last.

Cabin Review

Inside cabin on Verandah Deck...very quiet, good location.
