My DW & I are both in our 70s and have cruised 10+times in the past 50 years. Being that we live on the ocean in South Florida, we booked an inside cabin. Quite to our surprise & delight, at check in we were told that we were bumped up to a balcony.
Embarkation was a breeze and we were on board by about noon. Our cabin was ready right after we enjoyed a light snack. Our cabin was quite comfortable and well setup. The bathroom facilities were unique and took some getting used to but acceptable. Closet & drawer space was excellent.
Entertainment was superb and available at most times. Blue Man Group, Howl At The Moon, Murder Mystery & The Jazz Club were great.
Pool deck was huge and resembled a water park. Although there were 4,000 cruisers aboard, we did not feel crowded. Always chaises available.
The food was fair to good at all the restaurants with entertainment at times. As with any new ship, there were several small problems but after notifying the front desk, they were taken care of. David went above & beyond to rectify anything.
Disembarkation was unbelievably fast and quite organized. We were out by 8 AM.
All in all, it's a great ship & if freestyle is your thing, Epic is for you.
But if you're the type to look for faults in everything, just stay home and fight with your significant other.
