This is my first post to Cruise Critic but I thought that as a result of all the information that I received from this website prior to my cruise that I would repay the favor by writing a critique of my cruise on the NCL Jewel from 10/10/10 to 10/17/10 out of NYC. I want to preface this by saying that this is merely my opinions and observations from my week spent aboard the NCL Jewel.

First let me state that I did not select this particular itinerary because of the ports of call but rather I wanted an NCL cruise on the leaving on this particular date because I was already going to NYC to meet friends for the weekend prior to the sailing. My fiancE and I had already planned on doing a cruise and although we live in Houston we decided that we would take a cruise onto the end of our weekend trip to NYC. Our choices were an NCL cruise to Bermuda or to the Caribbean and we chose the latter. Our ports of call were Port Canaveral, Florida, Great Stirrup Cay (NCL's Private Island), and Nassau, Bahamas.

I booked a balcony cabin (BA) on deck 9 starboard/forward and selected cabin 9040 as at the time of booking it was as close to mid ship as I could get.
