Ship Facts: Norwegian Epic Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Norwegian Epic Deck Plans
Norwegian Epic, the good, the bad, the ugly
even though i have taken 99 cruises, i always check cruise critic reviews. for the epic i only read the 1 and 2's. let me comment on them. the disembarkation and embarkation were easy and fast. the outside cabin was small. i am 6ft5 and the mattress was too small. we really had no problem with the sink or the shower privacy. i did not find one problem with the only 2 elevators. the adult pool was very small, and surprisingly there were many obnoxious kids who kept diving in that pool, no signs or security.the garden cafe had a very small seating width, and really had a limited menu, albeit i mostly was able to enjoy their food. tast and manhattan room had only 3 new items a night, mostly which were close to mediocre. i relly enjoyed o'sheehans the most.breakfast at taste was very good. had one meal at shanghai and except for a terrible lamb malay curry, it was pretty good had 6 sunny days, and one cloudy day in nassau, other 2 ports were st's thomas and maarteen. i was stunned to find out the epic did not have any stage show in the main theater, no dancers and singers at all. i never physically saw the cruise director simon.the bets performer was magician comedian david williamson, i laughed so hard i had tears in my eyes. the legends were good, the blue man group , if you have never seen them{and i never did}are hard to explain. there were 2 lounge groups dueling pianos, and roadside dusty, and they were good.as for the ugly second city, i say their family act twice on the spirit in feb, and this time i saw their adult act, they are not funny, if i had a choice of terminal cancer or watching second city, i'd go for the cancer

had no problem getting seats for any performance, or dining room ncl really has cut back on so many things, no captains cocktail party, no repeaters cocktail party, no chocolates on pillow, no free movies on tv in room, plus repeating around 5-6 movies on bis screen, limiting items on free dining for luch and dinner,no stage shows with dancers and singers, it seemed there were aroud 10 paid restaurants, and 4 free ones, also the daily activities were very boring, and maybe 60-70 of the daily activities had a fee. ncl really cut back on the size of rooms, pools, hallways{you could not have 2 people pass each other in the hallway} i have to admit the custo, the epic is a beautiful ship albeit sized down for passenger comfortsmer service desk was outstanding
