We had a blast on the NCL Epic. Our main motivation for cruising is to chill out. We spent the three sea days at Spice H20, the adult pool area, and just vegged out. Lots of hot tub, fruity cocktails and relaxation. It was great that kids actually didn't come back there and take over the area. We ate at O'Sheens, Taste, La Cucina, Le Bistro, the buffet and the Cirque. Great food overall and I took full advantage of the soft serve machine! We aren't big activity people, but there always seemed to be something going on.
Ports:
St. Maarten: A great local beach! We paid $15 for two chairs and umbrella. Then just walked along the street drinkng dollar beer.
St. Thomas: We took the Champagne Catamaren Cruise to St. Johns. Gorgeous views, lots of fish and turtles, and super strong rum punch on the return sail.
Nassua: Wandered around the town and hit up Senor Frogs.
We loved the Second City, the Blue Man Group and Legends. The Casino was mammoth and I lost some money at the Blackjack table. We went through the shops everyday and walked away with some great Epic stuff.
Alex, our room steward, was great and made us 5 towel animals. Wilson, at Spice H20, was our favorite bar waiter.
It was a great trip and a terrific ship!
