Quick background--husband and I are in our early 50's, been cruising forever, on many different lines and love it. This particular vacation for us, was the truly the icing on the cake after all our years of cruising. We had waited for almost 33 years after we were married to take our first Mediterranean cruise, so we decided to renew our wedding vows on board the ship, on the day we sailed into Venice. It was absolutely incredible, I would recommend it highly to any couple who is thinking about celebrating the love they share while cruising on their dream vacation. It was all very simple to arrange, Celebrity took care of all of the arrangements. If anyone wants details, I will be happy to share any information regarding the process. That day was truly the highlight of the cruise and quite possibly, our most memorable cruise experience to date.
Although I spent time each day of our cruise writing, I did not dedicate more than a few minutes here and there to reviewing the ship itself. My blog was strictly about my food experience during our entire vacation, whether we were on the ship or not. Now I will attempt to fill in the blanks with details about our actual cruise on board the Celebrity Century.
We had been on the ship for the first time last December for a quick 4 night cruise out of Miami. We were so impressed with the way we were treated by the crew, the food and the accommodations, it was a no brainer to book our med cruise on the Century. The itinerary, dates and price fit our requirements, so now all we had to do was wait 10 long months before we would be on board.
